I decided to go on this round-the-world trip as I turned 30 years old. It’s been my dream since I was young. I left Japan on June 9th, 2013 with the rough plans to go toward West but nothing really specific.
I write novels in Japanese. My works are not exactly based on my own stories, but inspired by my experiences through my travels. Please contact me if you are interested.

“Why do you go?”
––I just want to see the world I’ve never seen.
“So, why don’t YOU go?”
In this blog, I take photos with Ken, write English page and “味噌玉世界旅 Take a Scoop of Miso with You” in which I write about the food cultures of the places I go as well as how I cook miso soup for the people I meet.
Why miso soup? Miso soup represents what I am and where I come from almost. It is a kind of food that my mother used to make everyday, and also a taste of mom’s home cooking for many other Japanese people. So I thought giving something like this to the people in the world can be a great way of communication.
